Hey guys!! So the last time we spoke about my hair I said I would try some different straight styles out since I had my hair flat ironed. Well girl, that didn’t happen. I’m not sure where I went wrong. It could have been my lack of experience, it could have been the fact that I waited too long and my hair became limp and lifeless due to heavy products or it could have also been the fact that my hair just works better with texture. So unfortunately I don’t have any examples of straight styles. But I’ll try next time to see if it works out.

Now I do have an update to my curls. As I stated before, I was little shocked with the amount of hair that was chopped off. But I am trying to hurry up and get rid of some extremely damaged ends so it didn’t bother me too much. You can see it wasn’t such a bad thing since the curls are getting more showtime than the ends.

I do have some pieces that aren’t as defined as the others but once everything has improved I can work on those sections separately and rebuild.

To keep up the progress, I cleansed my hair of all the heavy products and worked in a deep conditioning. For cleansing I used Carol’s Daughter’s Rosemary Mint Shampoo which is unfortunately no longer available along with Shea Moisture’s Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque which can only be found in Target stores. I left the masque on for 30 minutes and covered with a plastic cap.

Once I was done, set my hair with some two strand twists. Let me tell you, although this is my go to style during the week, my twist game is just complete struggle. I mean it’s just sad but it still gets the job done so ehh well….

So it’s great to have my curls back and I’m happy to see my natural curl pattern still going strong. That’s all for this week so comeback to see what I have going on for next time. Bye!!

Hey guys!! So as the hashtag suggests I got my hair did (sorry for the improper grammar but it fits.) As I stated before, I wanted to have two inches cut off to help quickly get rid of those damaged ends. So what do you think?

I’m not sure if two inches was a lot or if someone was a little “scissor happy,” but it’s shorter than I expected. I’m not too concerned because more than likely I’m closer to my goal.

My scalp is a little dry and it may be due to the changing season. Since my hair was flat ironed and I won’t have to tend to it as much this week, I’ll be focusing on this dry scalp issue I’m having. It’ll be a great use of time to find what works best with the winter coming soon.

One thing I also want to try out is different hairstyles for this straight hair. My goal is to find styles that use little to no heat. For example, using my flexirods to add more curls.

I may post again throughout the week so stay tuned to see what I’ve come up with. Ok guys talk to you later. ūüėČ

P.S. Don’t judge me for my eyebrows. I’m trying to let them grow in to get a better shape…. #theStruggle
