As much as I love my hair, I also love a good hair stylist. These individuals live and breathe everything when it comes to hair and I appreciate their dedication for the craft. This dedication is evident in the measures they take to strengthen their skills and techniques. To help them do so, Salon Lofts has provided similar dedication to these artists by providing opportunities to control their business and resources to expand their craft.
The Salon Lofts brand is currently touring to several cities offering lessons from celebrity stylists with their World Class Education event. This event is a gathering of stylists as they enjoy receiving tips from their favorite hairdressers while celebrating their talents. I recently was invited to attend the Columbus event and not only did I enjoy myself but I learned some things as well.
The event began with a cocktail hour featuring a hair competition with local artists. Guests were invited to vote on their favorite look and later found out that stylist Jessica Costa to the prize with a fantastic up do.
Guests were then treated to the main event. Up first was celebrity stylist Dallas Christopher who has done some amazing work with the cast of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. He brought his talents to the stage transforming models in front of the audience while giving some great tips.
Next, well known hairstylist Nick Arrojo of TLC’S What Not to Wear fame, took to the stage giving not only advice on a great haircut but on how a stylist can successfully build their business. Nick’s story included starting with coming to America, building his cliental and even remaining successful with a new salon near Ground Zero shortly after 9/11.
After a great event filled with excellent tips, guests walked away with gift bags full of top quality products. I’m going to try a few of these out myself and let you know what I think.
If you weren’t able to go to the Columbus event, no worries. There are several dates still available for you to attend. There will be another in Cleveland on 3/30 and later this year there will be another in Cincinnati in September. Visit www.salonlofts.com for more upcoming dates and make a road trip out of it. This event is very informative and if you’re in the beauty business, I would recommend attending one.
