Hey loves!! Hope everyone is doing well. I decided to share some info on the top five products that I like to use on a regular basis. For the most part, these products have helped in improving my unfortunately long transitioning process. I’ve had a lot of success this past year with this group so here’s to the items that helped!!
Ok first up is my shampoo and conditioner. As you may know I am a huge fan of Carol’s Daughter and my favorite collection of theirs is the Monoi collection. So every Sunday when I do my major wash day routine I use these two. I know it’s two products but I see them as a duo since they work so well together to cleanse and condition my hair without drying but leaving real moisture.
On wash day I usually follow my wash and condition with a good hair masque. Currently my favorite one is Shea Moisture’s Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Hair Masque. From the moment I first saturate my hair with this masque to washing it out, I can feel my hair hydrate and soak up the moisture. I think this item has really helped restore my curls so I recommend it for anyone.
One item that I use everyday that I really love is a good leave in conditioner. I mostly use those offered by Carol’s Daughter and currently I’m using one from the Sacred Tiara collection. Although the scent of an item shouldn’t be that important, it is when it comes to a leave in conditioner, in my opinion. This one smells great but besides that it really does condition my hair well and gives it great shine.
For my “bun life” days, I have to use a product that’s going to smooth my edges without drying my hair. For that I use Crème of Nature Perfect Edges with Argan Oil. There’s also not a lot of build up with this one and it really feels soft after I apply it.
Lastly, every natural needs a good co-wash. Currently I’m using As I Am’s Coconut CoWash Conditioning Cleanser. This is what I use to quickly cleanse my hair between washes and then I usually follow up with a simple, low maintenance style.
Well there you have it, my top five favorite products. I also like to use natural items but I think we’ll save that for another post. Hope you guys find this useful and maybe you’ll check them out yourself. Take care!!
